This is Western Maryland Diesel Locomotive No 101. This was the first diesel locomotive owned by the WMRR and was built in September 1941 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The Diesel Roster on the WMRR Historical Society page indicates this was a Model VO660, WMRR Type DS-1, built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, with 1,000 HP. Can anyone identify where this photo was taken or provide any information on where No 101 spent her 24 years working for the WMRR? See the next image for the letter that accompanied this photograph.
