This view of a wreck on the Western Maryland was taken from one of W. R. Hicks negatives. The wreck involved two trains, Train No.601 a work extra headed East with Engine No. 601 and Train No. 301 a local freight being pulled by Engine No. 313. They collided 3/4 of a mile West of Westminster on July 13, 1912. In this view you can see the track crew clearing and repairing the track. This is probably a photo of a postcard view.
