The back is postmarked Oct. 20, 1908 at Thurmont. The note reads: Dear Carrie Your card received and am alright. Again went o Frederick join all the same. Looked for you but did not see you there in on the new road. Oh yes do you get a discount at Hoffman's. I want to send for Ethel a dress have they samples but don't pay more than .25 a yard. I know all is imposing on a good nature but it is very inconvenient to be pain so would you let me know and if so would you mind getting it for me and just make up your mind to come across this and spend Thanksgiving with me. Lawrence(?)

The last part of the note ends on the front of the card.
