Even the Thurmont Post Office was not immune to Halloween pranksters! This is a view of the Thurmont Post Office when it was located on the first floor of the Masonic Building at 12 East Main Street prior to moving to 110 Water Street in 1959. You can see corn shocks leaning inside the entranceway blocking the doorway at the right and writing in soap all over the large front window. The Postal workers certainly had some cleaning up to do that morning!
