This receipt made out to Cornelius Dubel of Mechanicstown for two Pear trees purchased from Glen Brothers, Rochester, NY is dated April 24, 1883. The trees were probably delivered via the Western Maryland Railroad. You can see the word 'Refused' penciled in the center of the receipt, Mr. Duble may have changed his mind!
