One of a series of photographs by C.R.R. Beck taken after the snowstorm of 1899. This view is taken from the railroad bridge and is looking down North Church Street toward the square. Hammaker Memorials can be seen on the left next to Boundary Avenue and on the right is the fence in front of Mt. Carmel Church. Further up the hill is the Methodist Church and the bell tower of the Old Town Hall can be seen rising above everything.
