This was a magnificant facility for it's time and like Pen Mar or Braddock Heights Park it was built as a destination along a railroad or trolley line. Mr. Remsburg, the owner of Lake View was an investor in the Washington, Frederick and Gettysburg Rail Road and developed Lake View with an eye to the passengers the line would carry to his property.
