This photo was taken in Thurmont on August 2, 1947 from the inside of H&F RR Freight Motor No 1. Looking out the front window as a string of cars passes by on the main line next to the Thurmont Trolley Station while No 1 waits on the siding before heading to Frederick. Car No 141 and Motor Freight No 5 are moving several cars inlcuding a gondola full of what looks like track ballast and a box car. The Thurmont Trolley Station can be seen at the left of the photo, see the next image for a closer look.
