Here is a photo of Hagerstown & Frederick Car No 170 taken during a run in the snow in 1947. The caption on the photo indicates this scene is on the Thurmont Line but a close look at the car shows that Middletown is displayed on the destination board. It is possible that this car is on the Thurmont line, but I don't think so. Any, way it looks pretty cold in the view and the snow is piled up on the sides of the track. It looks like there are plenty of passengers aboard, this could be a Rail Fan excursion. I wonder what the man walking toward the car was doing?
