This is the deed for Lot No. 116 in the United Brethren Church in Christ, known as Weller Church located at Mechanicstown, Frederick county in the State of Maryland. This fifteen foot by sixteen foot burial lot was sold to John B. Gilbert for the sum of $15.00 on March 12, 1879. THe deed is signed by Cemetery Trustess Jacob Wastler, Washington H. Ward and William L. Martin. The deed was witnessed by Frederick White J.P., Justice of the Peace of the State and County. This deed was executed 141 years ago and still reads very well. This deed is one of the documents Col. John R. Rouzer was holding for the family of John Gilbert.
