The ad targets riders from their routes in West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. P&E started bus service very early on and eventually closed the trolley line in favor of their bus system. I remember when buses would stop in Thurmont at Lewis's Confectionery on the Square, you could purchase bus tickets in Lewis's.
