This is one of many houses attributed to the Rouzer family in Thurmont. This house is located on East Main Street and now houses the Stauffer Funeral Home. Previously, Raymond Creager lived here and operated his funeral home from the first floor. While Raymond owned the building there was a four bay garage with a second floor storage area at the rear of the property. Raymond parked his funeral cars and hearse in the building and used the second floor for storage including stock from his furniture business across the street.
