Album Update January 21, 2011 [news]
First a couple of changes:
You will notice a change in the menu at the right side of the main screen. There is now a list of the available Gallerys and clicking on any name will take you directly to that gallery.
The seach function has changed and can now search for multiple tag words. You will also see that the searchbox will retain the seach until the Clear Seach icon (the yellow circle with red line) is selected.

Album update May 29, 2010. [news]
Here are now 2,025 images in the album. The most recent additions are photographs of the Thurmont High School building as it was being demolished. Denny Black took these pictures and has graciously allowed them to be included in the album. There are also pictures of Hunting Creek Fisheries as well as Pen-Mar Park and Blue Ridge Summitt.
Album update, April 4, 2010. [news]
There are now 1,875 images in the collection.
This evening I added several photos showing details of an ax made by Jacob Weller, BS. Search using 'Weller'.
There is also a group of images showing the grounds and interior views of some of the facilities at Camp David. Many of these are from the 1950's - 1970's. Search using 'CampDavid'.
New images added. [news]
I have added an additional 16 new H&FRR pictures. These are from a collection I purchased from a collector in Batavia, New York and were taken by a someone on a Rail Fan excursion. There is a cropped version of each image showing the main details followed by a full image showing the entire photograph. Search using HFRR to see all the trolley pictures.

Latest update as of March 24, 2010 [news]
As of this afternoon it is possible to post comments to all images. I invite you to add you thoughts, comments, corrections or notations to any of the 1,744 images currently in the collection.
You will see that many images may not have complete descriptions associated with them. There may be individuals, locations, dates or events that remain unidentified, please help fill in the blanks if you can. I am certain that some of the information I have (...)
Search keyword list. [news]
You can veiw a current list of searchable keywords by selecting the " Keywords for searching the collection. " page from the right side of the main screen.
I will continue updating the list of keywords as they are added. When searching you will notice that if you start typing a word the earch will show a list of keywords that match the (...)
A move due to recent interuptions. [news]
Some recent visitors may have been unable to view all images. This was the result of a security problem with the previous hosting company. I have moved the album to a new host and everythiong is working fine.
Images of Hoke Furniture Company added. [news]
Thanks to the generosity of Mr. John Hoke I have been able to add a large number of images relating to the Hoke Furnture Company to the album. These images include scenes of plant expansions, product advertisements, exterior views, images of the Hoke sawmill and many images of individuals at work in the factory. As of November 16, 2009 there are 212 images related to Hoke Furniture in this new album.
A big change in the order. [news]
After several comments about images other than those of Thurmont being scattered through the album I have changed the main menu to now include additional area communties. The Thurmont images are all included under the main heading "Thurmont" with other communities being shown as seperate menu selections.
A slide show function now available. [news]
You can now watch a slide show of the images in each directory or those compiled from your search. At the bottom left under the thumbnails is the Slide Show button. Click the button and the slide show will start, the speed can be adjusted by using the adjustment at the top right of the slide show screen.
